Chapter One: Start with Serving the Army in Taihang Mountains （1939-1948）

1939

Spring

Double-Crane was established as a battlefield pharmaceutical factory of the Eighth Route Army in Taihang Mountains.

1941

January

The Field Ministry of Health of the Eighteenth Group Army was combined with the Pharmaceutical Factory of 129 Division in Anlezhuang village, Wuxiang County, Shanxi Province.

1942

January

The factory was named as “Lihua Pharmaceutical Factory”, which means “Benefit China”.

1943

May	Xinhua Daily (Taihang Edition) reported an article titled as A New Contribution of Pharmaceutical Industry --- Lihua Pharmaceutical Factory Developed Injection, in which Lihua staff had been praised for a great success in the research of Bupleurum injection under serious blockade of the enemy.

1947

July	The Pharmaceutical Factory was relocated to Yaolin Temple, Pingding County, Shanxi Province.
